An anthropological approach to biomimicry

From industrial adhesives inspired by gecko feet to traditional dances imitating the movements of animals, humans have drawn an infinite number of ideas from nature. This biomimicry often reveals fascinating social mechanisms.

A discussion with anthropologists Perig Pitrou and Lauren Kamili, who together with Fabien Provost organised a conference held on this subject this past September in Marseille.
