Fabien Provost is a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at King’s College London, and affiliated to the Centre for Himalayan Studies (CNRS UPR 299). His research, based on fieldwork in hospitals in northern India, focuses on the intersection of medicine with social and legal norms. After a thesis in social anthropology on the practice of forensic medicine, Fabien is now studying cancer care in the city of Banaras (Uttar Pradesh, India). He is the author of several peer-reviewed articles and the co-editor of three collective books.
